The Notre Dame Annual Science Festival 2025 & 35th GKC is the flagship event of the Notre Dame Science Club, one of the most active and distinguished student science organizations in Dhaka. Since its inception, the festival has served as a vibrant platform where students demonstrate their scientific aptitude, collaborate across disciplines, and push the boundaries of academic inquiry.
The Notre Dame Annual Science Festival 2025 & 35th GKC brings together exceptional young scientific minds from institutions across Dhaka and beyond. With its tradition of excellence and intellectual spirit, the Notre Dame Annual Science Festival continues to inspire young minds to explore science in new and unconventional ways. Each year, the festival brings together creative thinkers and future innovators, creating a shared space where ideas collide, discoveries begin, and the next generation of scientific leaders takes its first steps forward.
A Legacy of Scientific Excellence
On September 18, 1955, renowned biologist Father R.W. Tim, C.S.C. (Ph.D.) established the Notre Dame Science Club — the pioneer of the science club movement in Bangladesh and the country's first science club — with the goal of "Science in the Service of Man".
The club was established with the pledge to utilize the resources of a developing country to achieve self-reliance, innovate technology, instill a scientific mindset, and bring the benefits of science to the masses. Today, the Notre Dame Annual Science Festival stands as the largest and most widely acclaimed science event in the region.
